Ectropion and Entropion

This patient had a left lower lid that was turn inward and was resulting in her eyelashes rubbing onto her eye. This is called an entropion. The eyelashes and the eyelid can result in eye pain and even an infection if left untreated. She underwent a surgical repair of her entropion. Minimally invasive techniques were performed to allow the lid to heal well with little to no signs of an external scar. The lower lid was repositioned to a more normal position so that the eyelashes were directed away from the eye. She healed well after surgery and her symptoms were resolved.
